ANDRÁS KEMENES

One of the most outstanding hungarian musicians, he began to study piano at the age of six. Later he studied at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, from where he graduated in 1982. His teachers were Pál Kadosa, Ferenc Rados and György Kurtág. He was a post-graduate student in Moscow at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and in Dresden as a student of Professor Amadeus Webersinke. After finishing his studies, he taught at the Kodály School in Kecskemét between 1984 and 1991. At present he teaches piano at the Liszt Academy. Mr. Kemenes has given numerous concerts throughout Hungary and abroad. He regulary plays piano duets with Gábor Csalog. His repertoire includes numerous solo, orquestra, and 4 hands pieces.
