LUIS JURI

Born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) he develops a wide concert activity in his country. He studied at the Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires, later perfecting himself at the Accademia Chigiana di Siena (Italy), and in Switzerland with Edith Fischer, a favorite disciple of Claudio Arrau, for four years. 

He develops his concert activity regularly in Europe, Africa and Latin America: Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Egypt, Tunisia, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina, performing in recitals, as soloist with orchestra, or in chamber groups. 

His participation in the Cervantino Festival (Mexico) Theater of Fine Arts (Mexico) Great Theater of Havana  (Cuba) Musical October of Carthage (Tunisia), Opera of Cairo and Opera of Alejandria (Egypt), Festival of Blonay(Switzerland)  Radio de la  Suisse Romande, International Piano Festival of Savona (Italy), Festivo di Chiavari (Italy) Ridotto del Teatro alla Scala di Milano(Italy), Memorial of Latin America(Sao Paulo-Brazil), Palace of the  Arts (Belo Horizonte-Brazil), Solìs Theater of Montevideo (Uruguay), and in Argentina: Musical Week of Llao-Llao  (Bariloche),  Colòn Theater of Buenos Aires, Argentine Theater of La Plata, Argentine Mozarteum, and the most important theaters and orchestras of the country. In 2006, he received the Cavaliere of the Italian Republic award, in honor of spreading Italian music  around the world. He records for the "Tradition" label of Argentina. He made 2 CDs of Río de la Plata romanticism music, on  original forte-pianos, among others for the same label.

Develops an intense pedagogical activity. he is a professor of the superior piano and chamber music chairs at the Conservatory of the City of Buenos Aires.

He is a member of the group of teachers of the "EPI-Piano Encounters", piano improvement courses, at the Camping

Musical of Bariloche (Argentina).
He is the artistic director of the Holy Week Festival of San Isidro "El camino del Santo", a cycle already
